Alt Process Final Project Proposal

    Todays world is being overtaken
 by not just the media but now social networks,
 instant feeds of peoples every move,
newer and faster ways to devour and consume information.
We have become slaves to the very devices
and technology that was supposed to free us.
Every day more cases of insanity and death
 are pouring out of the digital pipelines.
People are beginning to loose sight of reality
and have an ever growing void in their identity
that they feel the need to fill with
useless information and the new phone or tablet to feed it to them.
Soon the need to connect will be too great
 and we will see people mutilating themselves
in a mental psychosis in order to get a direct link
to their digital drug.

    I am wanting to bring this possible dark future into the light. It is going to be a fictional documentation of people who have lost their minds over the internet. I plan on using the argyrotype process because it is simple, easy and will give the old-time feel I am looking for. There will be several images of people trying to cut themselves in order to connect the computer to their body. It will be a combination of three or four images per subject. The first will be an image of the act they are guilty of. A dark images of them in the home and computers all around them. The second will be more of a documentary mug shot and the third and fourth images will be of objects used and crime scene photos. I will be using Halloween make-up and lots of fake blood to really portray the subjects as desperate and willing to forfeit their bodies for technology.
